About our excursions
Punta Cana sits at the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic, surrounded by some of the best beaches, coral reefs, and offshore islands in the Caribbean. The excursions on this page are the ones we'd actually recommend to a friend visiting for the first time — from the iconic full-day Saona Island catamaran trip to lesser-known reef snorkeling spots, jungle zip lines, and private island days.
Every tour listed here has been personally vetted by our team. We know the boats, the captains, the routes, and which operators show up on time. Prices include everything you'd expect — hotel pickup, certified guides, food and drinks where applicable, and transparent fees. No commissions added on top, no resort markup, no surprises at the dock.
Use the filters below to browse by experience type: island tours to Saona and Catalina, half-day and sunset catamaran cruises, reef snorkeling and PADI diving, jungle adventures, family-friendly tours, and Dominican cultural experiences. Tap any excursion for full details, what's included, pickup zones, and the booking form.

Planning your Punta Cana trip
Most travelers visiting Punta Cana book two or three excursions across a one-week stay — a mix of beach days, ocean activities, and one inland adventure. The classic combination is a full-day Saona Island tour for the postcard Caribbean experience, a half-day catamaran or snorkeling trip for ocean time, and a zip-line park or buggy tour for variety. Families often add a calm-water snorkeling day or a Dominican village visit; couples often add a sunset catamaran.
Pickup is included from all major resorts in Punta Cana, Bávaro, Cap Cana, and Uvero Alto. Times are confirmed by email after booking and vary by excursion — most island day-trips pick up between 6:30 and 7:30 am, while half-day catamarans and adventures usually pick up between 8 and 9 am. Travelers staying further out (Bayahibe, La Romana, Macao) can still join most excursions; reach out and we'll arrange transportation.
Punta Cana is a year-round destination, but the best months for ocean excursions are December through April when winds are calmest and visibility is best. June through November is hurricane season — most days are still beautiful, but we monitor forecasts closely and will reschedule any tour if conditions are unsafe. Your deposit is fully refundable if rescheduling isn't possible.
