PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Course

The Enriched Air Diver course, commonly called the Nitrox course, allows you to extend your bottom time and reduce surface intervals by using air with a higher oxygen content than regular compressed air. With less nitrogen absorbed in your body, you can dive longer and explore more during each adventure.

Why dive with nitrox

Nitrox has become one of the most popular specialties among recreational divers thanks to its many benefits. By reducing nitrogen intake, you can spend more time at your favorite dive sites, make multiple dives in a day more comfortably, and feel less tired after diving. It's especially ideal for exploring deeper reefs, wrecks, or dive sites with multiple levels.

What you will learn

During the course you'll learn how to safely plan and execute dives with enriched air mixtures containing 32% to 40% oxygen. You'll understand how oxygen exposure affects your body, how to analyze tank contents, and how to adjust your dive computer for nitrox diving. This knowledge ensures both safety and efficiency on every nitrox dive.

Training without required open-water dives

One of the advantages of the Enriched Air Diver certification is that it doesn't require open-water dives to complete. Through theory lessons and practical exercises, you'll gain the skills to confidently dive with nitrox up to a maximum depth of 40 meters (130 ft). We include 2 dives to apply your new skills before you head home.
